As the

Vice President of Direct Sales

for Chaos, you will provide visionary leadership for our software sales organization, spearheading strategies that drive revenue, expand our market footprint, and cultivate a results-driven team. This senior leader will oversee all aspects of direct sales and work cross-functionally to ensure that sales efforts are fully aligned with our overall objectives.


We're seeking an accomplished professional who not only has a strong sense of purpose and ambition but also thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Your ability to mentor and elevate our existing sales team will be crucial to exceeding ambitious revenue targets and advancing both team and personal growth. You will manage the creation and progression of a robust sales pipeline, ensure the highest standards in opportunity management, and take responsibility for guiding deals through every stage of the sales cycle.


Chaos is growing at a solid double-digit pace annually and plans are to 2x in five years through organic and acquisitive growth. This role will have significant opportunity for upward mobility - team size, ARR, title, etc.


The compensation for this role will be comprised of base salary, sales incentive compensation with no ceiling and accelerators at 100%, and equity.

Key Responsibilities:



Sales Strategy & Execution



Develop and lead the direct sales teams to achieve or surpass revenue goals.

+ ~ 30M ARR
+ ~ 20 employees
Oversee forecasting, projections, and performance metrics. Design and implement sales plays aligned with target objectives. Monitor, analyze, and report sales metrics. Drive sales efforts by mastering our visualization solutions, delivering presentations, preparing proposals and quotes, representing our value proposition, negotiating terms and contracts, and successfully closing sales. Lead both direct commercial field and inside sales as well as EDU sales initiatives, including territory management and account growth. Supervise lead qualification and pipeline management within Salesforce.com.

Team Leadership



Lead, mentor, manage, and expand the sales team. Promote accountability, collaboration, and ongoing improvement. Oversee recruiting, hiring, training, and daily operations of the team. Participate in Chaos's Extended Leadership Team (XLT).

Market Expansion



Identify and pursue opportunities in traditional and tangential markets. Represent us at key industry events, trade shows, and strategic forums. Identify opportunities to expand our hybrid PLG sales.

Customer Engagement



Oversee strategic account planning and lead customer success initiatives. Maintain accurate CRM records and analyze data to identify trends and growth opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration



Support internal initiatives such as CRM improvements, reporting enhancements, training support, etc. Work closely with marketing and product management to align sales efforts with product development, customer needs, and campaign execution. Support internal business process improvements including business systems, reporting, AI integration, training and customer success initiatives.

Required:

East Coast USA or Europe-based.

Required:

Over 7 years of success in sales management.

Required:

Sales leadership experience in B2B software in an ARR model.

Preferred:

Sales leadership experience in AEC.

Required:

Previous experience managing a high-volume, low-ASP sales motion.

Required:

Experience managing a global team (NAM and Europe) for at least one year.

Required:

Experience managing 1+ sales teams concurrently. Strategic, analytical, and strong communicator. Capable of managing distributed teams and complex sales cycles. Skilled at presenting to C-level management, with excellent oral and written communication. Able to multitask and prioritize effectively. Proven CRM experience (preferably Salesforce). Entrepreneurial mindset and strong work ethic.

Required:

Willing to travel up to 50%.
