Element, a well-established organization that touches billions of lives, is searching for a VP Element Digital in London to help build a startup within their organization.


As the overall leader of the digital products business incubator (\xe2\x80\x9cElement Digital\xe2\x80\x9d) at Element, you will have full responsibility for product ideation, development, delivery and commercial success of all products within the Element digital portfolio. You will cultivate a diverse and inclusive atmosphere conducive to innovation, high productivity, and high-quality work. You will spearhead product development strategies and product/feature development prioritization, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. You will enable the engineering organization with the tools, processes, and structure needed to realize Element\'s growth ambitions.

Responsibilities:

• Build and scale the Element\xe2\x80\x99s Digital product incubator organization that will build, deliver and support world-class customer facing digital products and service; build, develop and grow tech, product and go-to-market teams
• Contribute to the delivery of $10M+ of revenue from first digital product by end 2024 with a target to break even by end 2025 across full product portfolio.
• Proactively mitigate business, operational & governance risks through technical strategy and leadership.
• Manage competition and threats in the marketplace, with constant evaluation of product strategy, capital strategy & strategic priorities
• Serve as the digital leader and voice on the DTG leadership team, and collaborate with executives across the organization to achieve company goals
• Work collaboratively with technology, product, design, and business leaders to align product and technology roadmap with strengths and opportunities within the parent organization, providing input on feasibility and cost impact
• Oversee design, delivery and management of products, plus feature rollouts
• Ensure your team\xe2\x80\x99s success by removing roadblocks, addressing conflicts, and operating as its champion
• Use strong organizational leadership skills and growth-oriented mindset to lead, motivate, and inspire multiple teams of technological, product and design talent to deliver high-quality software and be held accountable for their performance
• Build a performance driven team culture and inspire squad to collaborate as a cohesive and highly productive unit
• Track, produce, analyze, and action upon key metrics & milestones to ensure quality products are delivered on time

Skills / Qualifications:

• 12+ years of experience in digital product leadership, building and leading high-performing multi-disciplinary technical squads; exceptional business and product acumen
• Must have experience being the leader in a digital start-up environment
• Strong executive presence and experience working across organizational boundaries, forming alliances with other leaders, and building bridges that support functional as well as company goals.
• Experienced in balancing product priorities and technology/architecture/tech debt priorities
• Excited to work in a dynamic team environment, leading and developing people with compassion and authenticity
• Deep knowledge of Agile processes and workflows
• Understands relationship with Product Owner, Tech Lead Design Lead and rest of technical team
