As a VP, your primary role is to support the Central Investment team in identifying, assessing, underwriting, and executing credit and lending investment opportunities. This role offers hands-on exposure to high-volume deal flow, working on a unique platform with a highly diverse pipeline across multiple geographies and asset classes.
The position is at a VP level, best suited for candidates with 4+ years of relevant experience in an investment bank, credit fund, private equity fund, or structured finance environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform rigorous data analysis, including cash flow modelling, securitisation analytics, and assessment of performing and non-performing loan pools, ensuring a deep understanding of asset performance and structuring.
Analyse securitisation structures, including tranche-level cash flows, credit enhancements, and risk factors to support investment decision-making.
Conduct due diligence on performing and non-performing loan portfolios, including the review of loan-level data, collateral characteristics, and underlying asset risks.
Build cashflow models to represent expected asset pool cashflow and securitisation financing structures
Actively participate and collaborate in team meetings, contributing insights on structured finance transactions, real estate-backed credit, and other investment opportunities.
Support the deal lead in the structuring, pricing, and execution of complex credit transactions, ensuring effective project management.
Prepare detailed investment memorandums and presentations for senior management and investment committees.
Develop and maintain relationships with banks, co-investors, brokers, and financial institutions to source and execute off-market and structured investment opportunities.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Upwards of 4 years experience, likely gained within investment banking, rating agency, or investment fund, with a strong emphasis on structured credit, securitisation, or granular credit portfolio analysis.
Deep understanding of securitisation, structured finance, and performing credit pools, including expertise in ABS / RMBS / CMBS / CLOs, and other structured products.
Advanced financial modelling skills, with exceptional Excel, other financial analytics tools [Python, VBA, SQL] is a plus.
Effective and engaging communication style, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to stakeholders.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset.
Self-motivated, independent problem-solver, capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic investment environment.
A strong commercial mindset, with a keen ability to identify and execute high-value credit investment opportunities.
