Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Server, you will be responsible for ensuring that each guest has a memorable dining experience through attentive service, effective communication, and a thorough understanding of our menu offerings.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and provide them with menus, taking care to explain any specials or promotions. Take accurate food and drink orders, ensuring that all requests are communicated clearly to the kitchen staff. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and hygiene. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or requests in a timely manner. Upsell menu items where appropriate to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines during food preparation and service. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Assist with training new staff members as needed, sharing knowledge of best practices in serving and guest interaction.

Qualifications

Previous restaurant experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of hospitality principles. Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is essential. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately are required. Experience in food preparation or kitchen roles is advantageous but not mandatory. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on guest services; ability to engage positively with guests. A proactive approach to upselling menu items to enhance the overall dining experience. A passion for culinary arts is a plus, demonstrating an interest in food presentation and quality.
