Responsibilities

Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Take accurate food and drink orders using the point-of-sale system. Serve food and beverages in a timely manner while adhering to food safety standards. Provide recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and service stations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and delivery. Address guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism and courtesy. Process payments accurately and efficiently at the end of each meal service.

Skills

Strong hospitality skills with a focus on guest services. Previous restaurant experience preferred, with knowledge of serving techniques. Understanding of food safety regulations and practices. Basic math skills for handling transactions and calculating bills. Kitchen or culinary experience is an advantage but not essential. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently. Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment. A friendly demeanour with strong communication skills to engage with guests effectively.
