Responsibilities

Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued. Take orders accurately and efficiently, providing recommendations and upselling menu items when appropriate. Serve food and beverages in a timely manner while adhering to food safety standards. Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and utensils. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and timely food preparation. Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving to resolve any issues promptly. Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist guests effectively. Process payments accurately using basic math skills for cash handling. Assist in training new staff members as needed, sharing knowledge of best practices in serving and guest services.

Qualifications

Previous restaurant experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of hospitality principles. Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices is essential. Experience in food preparation or kitchen roles is advantageous but not mandatory. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy service periods. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on guest interaction and satisfaction. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
