Duties

Greet guests warmly and provide them with menus, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued. Take accurate food and drink orders using a point-of-sale system. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation. Upsell menu items and specials to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations during food preparation and service. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any special requests or dietary restrictions. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and serving stations. Handle guest inquiries, complaints, or feedback in a professional manner to ensure satisfaction. Assist in training new staff members as needed.

Skills

Proven experience in a restaurant environment, preferably in a serving role. Strong knowledge of hospitality principles and guest services. Familiarity with food safety standards and practices. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Excellent time management skills to efficiently manage multiple tables at once. Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance guest satisfaction. Kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not essential. Strong communication skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented atmosphere.
