Blackwoods at Nira Caledonia are looking to recruit an outgoing, confident and customer focused individual to add to our team - someone who is experienced with restaurant duties. Blackwoods is a small and intimate restaurant specialising in using the best local produce and deliver mouth watering dishes to guests.

The restaurant is located within the Nira Caledonia hotel, a luxury boutique hotel in the New Town/Stockbridge area of Edinburgh - a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World. We offer a sanctuary for worldly, well-travelled individuals...people who value easy-going sincerity more than rigid rules and stuffiness.

The Candidate

Perhaps the perfect position for someone who is studying/ looking for Full-time work due to other commitments.

The role is based around a part time contract working 3 days per week through Breakfast or Dinner shifts. There may be a requirement for you to also assist our FOH team on reception during busier periods and in some cases cover shifts in this department.

A confident and a good communicator Previous experience in a restaurant environment Impeccable personal grooming standards Exemplary customer service standards with a luxury mindset Awareness to anticipate guests needs. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Provide a high level of service in line with company standards Experience preferred but full training will be given to the right candidates Have a strong command of the English language and great communication skills All candidates must have the right to work in the UK

The Role & Duties:

The shifts will include both Breakfast and Dinner Setting up of Restaurant/Bar Liaising with Kitchen with regard to menu items/shortages Carrying out service according to SOP's laid out by Restaurant Manager Upselling throughout dinner service Ensuring guest satisfaction/attending to guests needs Billing is accurately processed End of shift procedures
