Job Description

We are a small independent Italian restaurant - we pride ourselves in providing great food and beverages to our customers, along with great customer service to deliver an excellent and unique dining experience with high standards in a relaxed environment.

We are currently expanding and looking for evening and weekend waiting staff to join us and be part of the adventure in a growing business. This position requires to work Friday and Saturday evenings + another evening for at least the next 6 months, including bank holidays, Valentine's Day, Mothers' Day etc if required, with the possibility to turn it into a permanent position.

Requirements:

o Minimum age 18+ to be able to sell alcohol

o Available to work Friday and Saturday evenings and on bank holidays (Sundays and Mondays off except when special occasions are on).

o Impeccable personal hygiene, presentation and manners at all times

o Punctual, reliable and trustworthy

o Organised with an eye to detail

o Be a team player with the ability to adapt quickly to the new working environment.

o An interest in the food industry and hospitality sector

o Hardworking and efficient with the ability to multitask and work fast under a strict cleaning schedule and keep calm under pressure

o Positive attitude

o Fluent English is essential

o Ability to follow instructions and answer directly to the head chef, front of house manager...

o Local resident preferred but not essential

o The job requires to be available every week for the agreed shifts

Duties:

o Assisting the FOH manager on providing excellent customer service as directed:

Taking orders Cleaning and setting up tables Serving customers with drinks and food, including bottled wine service etc Assisting the kitchen team by delivering food to the tables and explaining the dish correctly according to any dietaries or allergies. Ensuring that tables are checked on during their dining experience.
o Maintaining the highest level of food presentation and quality.

o Displaying enthusiasm and knowledge of the food and drinks menus.

o Clearing tables and ensuring that appropriate cutlery is provided.

o Communication with all team members to ensure customer satisfaction is exceeded.
