Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly attitude, ensuring a positive dining experience from the outset. Take accurate food and drink orders, ensuring that all requests are communicated clearly to the kitchen staff. Serve food and beverages promptly, adhering to food safety standards throughout the process. Upsell menu items and specials to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests. Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation. Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, striving to resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction. Collaborate with kitchen staff and fellow team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods. Manage time effectively to balance multiple tables and tasks while maintaining attention to detail.

Requirements

Previous restaurant experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of hospitality principles. Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices is essential for maintaining a safe dining environment. Basic math skills are necessary for processing orders and handling payments accurately. Experience in food preparation or culinary roles is advantageous but not mandatory. Excellent time management skills to efficiently serve multiple guests simultaneously. Strong guest service orientation with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere. Ability to upsell menu items effectively, enhancing both guest satisfaction and sales performance.
