Il Bistro are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through attentive service, knowledge of the menu, and a commitment to hospitality. Your primary responsibilities will include taking orders, serving food and beverages, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.

Responsibilities

Greet and seat guests promptly with a friendly attitude. Take accurate food and drink orders using the point-of-sale system. Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely manner. Provide detailed information about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods. Ensure compliance with food safety standards during food preparation and service. Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy. Maintain cleanliness of tables, utensils, and dining areas throughout service. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service delivery. Assist in training new staff members as needed.

Skills

Strong hospitality skills with a passion for guest services. Previous restaurant experience preferred, particularly in serving roles. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Experience in food preparation or kitchen operations is advantageous. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently. Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance guest satisfaction. Strong communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members.
