Duties

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner. Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently. Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials and recommendations, while effectively upselling items. Ensure timely delivery of food and drinks to tables, maintaining high standards of presentation. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns promptly. Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the dining area. Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods. Maintain an organised workspace, including cleaning tables and resetting them for new guests. Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently during shifts.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is advantageous. Basic math skills for handling transactions and processing payments accurately. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously. A background in guest services with a focus on creating positive dining experiences is essential. Experience in upselling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales is desirable.
