Duties

Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables, providing a friendly and professional first impression. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities. Manage multiple tables with excellent time management skills to ensure prompt service during busy hours. Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems, including cash handling and basic math calculations. Assist with food handling, sanitation, and food safety protocols to keep the dining area clean and compliant with health regulations. Support kitchen staff by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and assisting with food preparation when needed. Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements and manage guest flow smoothly. Provide exceptional guest relations by responding promptly to inquiries, resolving issues politely, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction. Maintain a positive attitude in fast-paced environments such as fine dining settings or nightclubs, adapting quickly to changing demands.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred; experience with restaurant operations or food industry roles is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency but is not mandatory--training will be provided. Strong customer service skills with an approachable demeanor and excellent communication abilities. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail--especially during busy shifts. Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures. Basic math skills for cashiering duties including cash handling and making change accurately. Experience in fine dining environments or nightclubs is advantageous but not required--enthusiasm to learn is key!
