Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Waitress/Waiter to join our dynamic team in a vibrant restaurant environment. As a Waitress/Waiter, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional guest services, ensuring that every patron has an enjoyable dining experience. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and assisting guests with any inquiries they may have. Your ability to upsell menu items and maintain a welcoming atmosphere will contribute significantly to our restaurant's success.

Responsibilities

Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner. Take accurate food and drink orders using the restaurant's ordering system. Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation meets our standards. Provide information about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods. Upsell additional items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. Monitor tables for guest satisfaction, responding promptly to requests or concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests. Adhere to food safety regulations and ensure compliance with health standards. Assist with food preparation as needed during busy periods.

Experience

Previous experience in a culinary or hospitality role. Strong understanding of basic maths for handling transactions accurately. Familiarity with food safety practices is advantageous. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently. A passion for providing outstanding guest services and creating memorable dining experiences. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Qualifications

Certification in food safety. Cocktail knowledge or barista training. Familiarity with POS systems and table management tools.
