Duties

Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued. Take accurate food and drink orders, providing recommendations and upselling menu items to enhance the dining experience. Serve food and beverages efficiently, ensuring presentation meets our culinary standards. Assist in food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving to resolve issues swiftly and satisfactorily. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations throughout the shift. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and effective communication regarding menu items. Perform basic maths calculations for order totals, ensuring accuracy in billing processes.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; we welcome enthusiastic individuals willing to learn. Strong understanding of food safety practices and culinary knowledge is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members alike. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and order calculations effectively. A friendly demeanour with a genuine desire to help others, contributing to an inviting atmosphere for all guests. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in all tasks.
