Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, providing them with menus and information about daily specials. Take accurate food and drink orders while offering recommendations and upselling menu items when appropriate. Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring all orders are correct and presented beautifully. Monitor tables for guest satisfaction, responding promptly to any requests or concerns. Ensure compliance with food safety standards during preparation and service. Assist in food preparation as needed, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and communication regarding any special dietary requirements or allergies. Maintain a clean and tidy work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Skills

Strong hospitality skills with a genuine desire to provide excellent guest services. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, particularly in a serving role. Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures is essential. Basic math skills for handling payments and calculating bills accurately. Experience in food preparation or kitchen operations is advantageous. Culinary experience is a plus, enhancing your ability to discuss menu items confidently with guests. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods. Ability to upsell menu items effectively, contributing to overall sales growth.
