Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated. Take accurate food and drink orders while providing recommendations and upselling menu items when appropriate. Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring that all orders are delivered accurately and to the guests' satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests. Assist in food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety standards at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and address any guest concerns promptly. Handle payments accurately using basic maths skills to process transactions efficiently. Uphold high standards of guest services and hospitality throughout the dining experience.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential. Strong understanding of food safety practices and culinary knowledge is advantageous. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy environment. Outstanding guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated when required. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
