Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience, and maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation. This role offers an opportunity to work in a lively hospitality environment where excellent communication and organisational skills are essential. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times Assist with basic food preparation when necessary, supporting kitchen staff as required Clear tables efficiently and maintain cleanliness in the dining area throughout service Handle guest enquiries courteously, resolving any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction Process payments accurately using the point-of-sale system Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy periods

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not essential Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling Basic maths skills for processing transactions and managing bills Experience with food preparation or culinary activities is a plus Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during service shifts Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable manner Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment A proactive attitude towards upselling and enhancing guest experiences

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 12.21-17.34 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 30 per week
