Responsibilities

Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner. Take accurate food and drink orders, ensuring clarity and attention to detail. Serve food and beverages promptly, adhering to food safety standards. Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Maintain knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods. Assist in food preparation as needed, ensuring high standards of culinary excellence. Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality control. Keep the dining area clean and organised, including resetting tables for new guests. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure efficient service.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred. Strong understanding of food safety practices and procedures. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Experience in serving or culinary roles is advantageous. Strong guest service skills with a focus on creating positive experiences for customers. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A team player who can communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
