Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role offers an opportunity to work in a lively environment where hospitality and guest satisfaction are our top priorities. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm. Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests are noted. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. Provide knowledgeable recommendations to upsell menu items and enhance guest experience. Ensure food safety standards are adhered to during service and food preparation. Assist with setting up tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining a tidy dining area throughout shifts. Handle guest queries professionally and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders. Maintain awareness of menu changes, daily specials, and promotions to inform guests effectively. Uphold health and safety regulations at all times during service.

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and food preparation practices. Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour. Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently. Basic maths skills for handling bills and payments accurately. Familiarity with kitchen operations or culinary experience is a plus. Effective time management to ensure prompt service during busy periods. Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximise sales opportunities. Team player with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards colleagues and guests alike.
