Duties

Welcome guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements Take accurate food and beverage orders Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in during their meal and addressing any needs or concerns Handle payments accurately and process transactions efficiently Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, including tables, service stations, and dining spaces Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities Follow food safety standards and hygiene protocols at all times Assist with basic food preparation when required, adhering to health regulations Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Effective time management to ensure timely service delivery Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology is beneficial Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to enhance guest satisfaction and sales performance Team player with a positive attitude committed to delivering outstanding guest experiences
