The Blue Lion is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Waiting and Bar Staff to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering high-quality service, assisting with food preparation, and maintaining food safety standards.

Responsibilities

Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner. Take accurate food and drink orders, ensuring attention to detail. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation. Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations during preparation and serving. Assist in the preparation of food items as needed, adhering to kitchen protocols. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods. Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, providing excellent customer service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and service stations.

Qualifications

Previous restaurant experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of hospitality principles. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Experience in serving or culinary roles is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent guest service skills with the ability to create a positive dining atmosphere. A team player who can collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and fellow servers.
