Duties

Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner. Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all special requests are noted. Serve food and beverages promptly, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality. Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety guidelines. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, striving for customer satisfaction. Process payments accurately and efficiently at the end of each meal. Stay informed about menu items, specials, and catering options to provide knowledgeable recommendations to guests.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a busy setting. A friendly disposition with excellent interpersonal skills to engage with guests effectively. Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed. A passion for hospitality and helping others enjoy their dining experience is essential.
