Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Server, you will be responsible for ensuring that guests have an enjoyable dining experience by taking orders, serving food and drink, and providing assistance as needed.

Your role will be crucial in creating a welcoming atmosphere and promoting our menu offerings through effective upselling techniques.

Duties

Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcomed and comfortable. Take accurate food and drink orders and setting tables accordingly for their order Provide recommendations on menu items and upsell specials to enhance the dining experience. Monitor tables for guest satisfaction, responding promptly to any requests or concerns. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including clearing tables and resetting them for new guests. stick to your designated section during peak services to ensure the team can work efficiently but also be able to cover multiple sections at quiet times.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential. Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and processing payments accurately. Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour. A willingness to help colleagues in the kitchen or during peak service times is highly valued.
We are a family run cafe that was opened 94 years ago buy the same family who still own it, you must be willing to understand the differences between working for a small business compared to larger corporate companies.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour
