Responsibilities

Greet and seat guests in a friendly manner, ensuring they feel welcomed. Take accurate food and drink orders using the restaurant's ordering system. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining a high standard of presentation. Provide recommendations on menu items and answer any questions regarding ingredients or preparation methods. Ensure that tables are clean, well-organised, and set up according to restaurant standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any special requests or dietary restrictions. Handle payments accurately and efficiently, ensuring all transactions are processed correctly. Maintain knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Assist with catering events as needed, contributing to the overall success of the service.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant environment is highly desirable, particularly in a serving role. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and food safety standards is an advantage. Experience in catering or barista roles would be beneficial but is not essential. A strong background in hospitality is preferred, showcasing your ability to create memorable experiences for guests. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment are crucial for this position.
