Duties

Greet and welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner, ensuring they feel valued from the moment they arrive. Take accurate food and drink orders while providing recommendations and upselling menu items to enhance the dining experience. Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring that all items are presented beautifully and meet food safety standards. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail. Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, striving to resolve any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests. Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to provide accurate information to guests.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Strong guest services skills, with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during peak service times. Understanding of food safety practices and regulations to ensure compliance within the kitchen environment. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated during quieter periods.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
