Duties

Serve drinks and beverages to customers in a courteous and timely manner Take orders accurately and handle cash or card transactions efficiently Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware and utensils Ensure compliance with food safety standards and responsible alcohol service policies Assist with food preparation tasks as required, supporting kitchen staff when necessary Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities Provide excellent guest services by engaging with customers professionally and courteously Restock bar supplies as needed, monitoring stock levels regularly Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow Uphold health and safety regulations at all times, including responsible alcohol consumption

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or bar work is preferred but not essential; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are key Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately Experience in food preparation or kitchen work is advantageous Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities Exceptional guest service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holiday periods as required
