Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. As a key member of our hospitality environment, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Your role will involve not only serving drinks but also assisting with food preparation and maintaining the overall cleanliness and safety of the bar area.

Responsibilities

Serve beverages and food items to customers promptly and courteously. Prepare and mix drinks according to standard recipes or customer preferences. Assist in food preparation, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils. Engage with customers, providing recommendations and upselling menu items when appropriate. Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring basic maths skills are applied for billing. Monitor inventory levels of drinks and supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food orders. Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the bar environment.

Skills

Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is advantageous. Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential for maintaining hygiene standards. Ability to upsell products effectively while providing excellent customer service. Basic culinary skills for assisting with food preparation tasks. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members. A proactive attitude towards helping colleagues and ensuring a smooth operation.
