Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Bar Staff. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a lively hospitality environment, delivering excellent guest service while honing your skills in food and beverage service. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, serving drinks, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience.

Duties

Serve a variety of beverages to guests in a friendly and professional manner Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt delivery Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area at all times Check identification to verify legal drinking age Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system Restock bar supplies as needed, including glassware, garnishes, and beverages Assist with food preparation when required, adhering to food safety standards Upsell drinks and promotions to maximise sales opportunities Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety protocols Provide excellent guest services by engaging with customers and addressing any queries or concerns promptly

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or similar roles is preferred Knowledge of food safety standards and food preparation techniques Strong serving skills with the ability to handle multiple orders efficiently Basic maths skills for handling transactions and calculating bills accurately Experience working in kitchens or with culinary processes is beneficial Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods Ability to deliver exceptional guest services with a friendly and approachable manner Upselling skills to promote specials and maximise revenue opportunities Good organisational skills to maintain a clean and well-stocked bar environment
