Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Kaya's Grill. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a strong background in food service. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our restaurant smoothly, providing exceptional guest services while adhering to food safety standards. This position requires excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring high standards of service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and serving areas. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all guests. Engage with guests to provide excellent customer service and address any inquiries or concerns. Support the culinary team with basic food preparation tasks as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation during events.

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Basic culinary skills and kitchen experience are advantageous. Strong time management abilities to handle multiple tasks effectively. Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour. Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.

Pay: 12.21-14.34 per hour
