Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and present menus, providing detailed information about menu items and specials. Take food and drink orders accurately, ensuring that all requests are communicated clearly to the kitchen staff. Serve food and beverages promptly, adhering to food safety standards throughout the process. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience while maximising sales opportunities. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and condiment stations. Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring a positive dining experience. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery. Process payments efficiently while maintaining accurate records of transactions.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices is highly desirable. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members. A passion for culinary arts and an understanding of menu items can enhance guest engagement. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
