Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests with a friendly attitude, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable. Take accurate food and drink orders using the restaurant's ordering system. Serve food and beverages promptly while adhering to food safety standards. Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Assist in food preparation when required, ensuring high standards of culinary presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and kitchen. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any guest concerns. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure all guests receive prompt attention. Handle cash transactions accurately, including basic maths for bill calculations.

Requirements

Previous experience in the hospitality industry is preferred but not essential. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently. Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction. A basic understanding of food preparation processes is advantageous. Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service. Ability to work well within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
