NOIR / BASRAH is seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and service-oriented Waiter/Waitress to join our dynamic team. Our restaurant specializes in Indian and Pan-Asian cuisine, offering a diverse and vibrant dining experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to provide exceptional service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Service: Greet guests warmly, present menus, and offer recommendations on our Indian and Pan-Asian dishes. Answer any questions about the menu, ingredients, and dietary restrictions.
- Order Taking: Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system. Ensure all orders are delivered to the kitchen and bar promptly.
- Food and Beverage Delivery- Serve food and drinks to guests in a timely and courteous manner. Ensure that orders are accurate and presented according to restaurant standards.
- Table Management: Monitor and attend to the needs of guests, ensuring that tables are properly set, cleared, and reset after each dining experience. Manage multiple tables and guest needs simultaneously.
- Upselling: Recommend additional items such as appetizers, desserts, or drinks to enhance the guest experience.
- Customer Interaction: Build positive relationships with guests, addressing any concerns or special requests. Handle complaints gracefully and professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
-Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including tables, chairs, and floors. Assist in the overall cleanliness of the restaurant.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service. Assist with other duties as needed, including side work, restocking, and preparation.
- Knowledge: Stay informed about menu changes, daily specials, and promotions. Understand and be able to explain the various Indian and Pan-Asian dishes, their ingredients, and preparation methods.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a restaurant, preferably with Indian or Pan-Asian cuisine, is a plus but not required.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of Indian and Pan-Asian cuisine or a willingness to learn.
- Appearance: Presentable and professional appearance, following the restaurant's dress code.
- Flexibility: Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, and perform duties that require reaching, bending, and carrying.
