Previous restaurant experience is preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important. Duties

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards Provide knowledgeable recommendations to upsell menu items and enhance guest satisfaction Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to during service Assist with setting up tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders Handle guest queries professionally and resolve any issues promptly to ensure a positive dining experience Support the team during busy periods by assisting with basic food preparation or other tasks as required

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards Experience in serving, food preparation, or culinary roles is beneficial Excellent organisational skills with effective time management abilities Good basic maths skills for handling bills and payments accurately Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Exceptional guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour Upselling techniques to promote menu items and maximise sales potential Kitchen experience or culinary background is a plus but not essential
