Duties

Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner. Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently. Provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials, to enhance the dining experience. Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining high standards of presentation. Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety guidelines. Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including resetting tables for the next guests. Handle guest inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure a positive dining experience. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods. Perform basic math calculations for order totals and process payments accurately.

Requirements

Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not essential; a passion for hospitality is key. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is advantageous. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for handling transactions and calculating bills accurately. Experience in guest services with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences. Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining a friendly rapport with guests. Previous kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not mandatory. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential traits for success in this role.
