Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our vibrant team in providing exceptional dining experiences. Sophie's Steakhouse is a New York inspired neighbourhood restaurant serving dry aged steaks and 10oz Martinis!
As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring guest satisfaction by delivering high-quality service, assisting with food preparation, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Your ability to manage time effectively and upsell menu items will contribute to the overall success of our restaurant.

Duties

Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring a warm welcome. Take accurate food and drink orders, communicating them clearly to the kitchen staff. Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items and upsell specials to enhance guest experience. Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables, maintaining attention to detail. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and support area Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit. Process payments accurately and efficiently at the end of each meal service.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently. Basic maths skills for processing bills and handling payments. Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous. Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 14.50-16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 30 per week
