We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated wake in nights Support Worker to join our team. This role will include weekends, bank holidays Christmas and new year working so a need for reliability and commitment is essential for the role
Hours of work are 7pm until 7am 3 days per week but all applicants will be required to do additional hours when required to cover annual leave and sickness
Responsibilities
Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health or behaviour.
Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or social activities.
Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs, ensuring adherence to best practices in patient care.
Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding any concerns or changes.
Support clients with learning and physical disabilities
Perform light housekeeping duties as required to maintain a safe and clean environment for clients.
Participate in case management meetings to discuss client needs and progress
Take lead on shift be willing to work on your own.
Experience
Previous experience in senior care, home care, highly desirable.
Familiarity with medical terminology and understanding of health conditions related to ageing is beneficial.
Experience in nursing home or residential settings is an advantage.
First aid certification is preferred; training may be provided for the right candidate.
Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility needs is essential.
A valid driving licence is required for transporting clients as needed.
