22:00 - 08:30 (10.5 hours), 4 on / 4 off rota

Salary:

28,392 - 31,668 per year (Qualified salary based on proven completion of a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare)

Bonuses:

Up to 1,000 per year (performance-based)

About the Role

As a Waking Night Support Worker, you'll help create a calm, safe, and nurturing environment for children throughout the night. You'll remain alert to ensure their wellbeing, carry out regular welfare checks, record observations, and respond sensitively to emotional or behavioural needs.

You'll also help prepare for the following day, keep records up to date, maintain hygiene standards, and communicate professionally with out-of-hours services when needed.

Training is fully provided, and you'll be paid while you learn, with opportunities to progress your career in residential childcare.

What We're Looking For

Experience of working with children and young people with challenging behaviour. A caring, patient, and resilient nature. Passion for supporting children and young people. Commitment to safeguarding and emotional wellbeing. Reliable, calm under pressure, and confident working nights. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
