Average of 7 shifts over 2 weeks for a full time role, to include every other weekend. Usually 3 shifts / 4 shifts alternating weeks.
We may be able to consider part time - 2/3 shifts per week but cannot usually consider specific nights.

The Belsteads Group currently has 3 x homes caring for young people from the ages 8-17. We have 2 x homes supporting children with a learning disability/difficulty and also a brand new home for children with complex health needs.
Our young people require different levels of support, from support with their communication and behaviours, to helping them with their personal care independence skills, mobility and continence.
As a Support Worker you will ensure our children receive the specialized support they require to lead enriched and successful lives.

What your role will look like...
As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will be based in a friendly home, supporting Children who have a range of support needs.
The post of Night Waking Support Worker involves working as part of a team towards supporting each child living within the home to feel safe, build on their strengths and encourage them to meet their potential. In addition, this role is intended to be able to hear and respond to a child that may need support overnight, with a special focus on safety. The post-holder needs to be able to work on their own initiative.
We work with some young people who may present with behaviour that challenges and seeing the impact of an approached centered on consistency, stability and love has gives a huge opportunity for job satisfaction in seeing the impact you can make on young people's lives. We are looking for staff who are kind, caring, resilient and able to support young people in all areas of their care.
Remaining awake throughout the night to ensure the safety of our young people.
Maintaining awareness of children's movements and presence within the home overnight.
Ensuring the home is safe and secure from unauthorised access
Follow procedures for reporting concerns related to all aspects of safeguarding
Act as a positive role model defining structures and boundaries of behaviour so the children understand appropriate and healthy behaviours
Monitoring any concerns in relation to disturbed sleep patterns and follow relevant support plan designed to promote sleep and wellbeing.
Provide personal care as required.
Ensuring the home is clean and tidy throughout.
Offer emotional support and care to young people when required throughout the night.
Maintain detailed written records throughout the shift.
