Are you a compassionate, reliable, and attentive person looking to make a positive difference in the lives of adults with learning disabilities? We are looking for a Waking Night Support Worker to join our dedicated team and help us provide a safe, calm, and supportive environment throughout the night.

About the Role



As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of the individuals living in our home. You will remain awake and alert for the duration of your shift, carrying out regular welfare checks, responding to any care needs, and offering reassurance to those who may feel anxious or unsettled during the night.

You will also contribute to the smooth running of the home by completing essential cleaning tasks and maintaining high standards of hygiene and infection control. Your work will help ensure that mornings begin in a clean, calm, and welcoming environment for both residents and day staff.

Key Responsibilities



Carry out regular night-time checks, ensuring each individual's safety and wellbeing. Provide emotional reassurance and practical support to anyone who wakes or becomes unsettled. Respond promptly to personal care needs, medical concerns, or other support requirements. Complete cleaning tasks across communal areas, bathrooms, kitchens, and bedrooms, following hygiene and infection control procedures. Maintain accurate written records of checks, incidents, and support provided during the night. Promote a peaceful and respectful atmosphere aligned with each individual's preferences. Work closely with day staff to ensure smooth and accurate handovers. Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and organisational policies and procedures. Undertake a Level 2 or Level 3 Health and Social Care Diploma (full support provided).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 13.05 per hour

Expected hours: 15.75 per week
