St Philip's School is currently recruiting for a Waking Nightshift Team leader to support our Nightshift team as our services evolve and grow.

St Philip's School is based within Plains, Airdrie and offers specialised care and education to young people aged between 10-19. Our young people are encouraged to be the best that they can be.

St Philip's School follow The Promise and work in a trauma informed and nurturing manner. Our young people may experience social, emotional and behavioural challenges and require additional support to help them live, learn and flourish.

The waking Nightshift Team Leader oversees the Assistant Team Managers for Nightshift and is responsible to the Senior Services Managers. The individual will be responsible for leading the nightshift team in a passionate and structured manner, committed to providing exceptional care to our young people, and ready to make a substantial impact.

This role would follow a rota pattern including weekends and public holidays.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

The Waking Night shift Team Leader will be required to have:

Worked in a nightshift leadership position

Access to own transport and clean driving license

SVQ Level 4 (Children and Young People) or working towards

Proficient with Microsoft Office suite

Excellent communication skills

Excellent organisational skills

Strong interpersonal skills

Resilient

Strong knowledge of the health and social care standards and legislation.

Main tasks-



To ensure that the needs of young people in St Philip's School care are met and to provide a positive and safe living experience for these young people

To manage and lead the Assistant Team Managers for nightshift and if required Nightshift Residential Child Care Workers in order to provide a high quality of childcare

To work on shift to ensure that the services run efficiently and effectively to a high standard and young people are safeguarded at all times.

Deliver supervision in accordance with company policy to your team.

To comply with St Philip's School Safeguarding Policies and Procedures.

Seek continuous improvement in services in line with St Philip's School Strategic Plan and Quality Assurance

To effectively and efficiently manage the" nightshift rota" in line with agreed financial budget

To maintain confidentiality and data protection for all staff and young people at all times in line with GDPR legislation.

To support effective multi departmental working and positive relationships with all staff, the local community, local authorities, other professional agencies and significant others who are part of a young person's life.

To play an active part, promote and encourage the participation of young people in the decision-making process of the services and wider community and to provide and/or help them seek information and advice from appropriate sources.

To assist in the development and delivery of the objectives identified in the young person's Care Plans.

To support and compliment the reviewing and monitoring process in the development of Care Planning.
