Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled class 1 Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with walking floors, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service. This role involves transporting goods efficiently while adhering to all road regulations and company policies.

Duties

Operate waling floor lorries to transport waste to various landfill locations safely and efficiently. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules while considering traffic conditions and road regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transit. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on the road and at delivery sites.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence (CPC) with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with walking floors. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for safe driving. Excellent time management skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently. Good physical fitness, as the role involves some manual operation. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and responsibility in all tasks.
