Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and be proficient in the installation of various types of tiles. This role requires attention to detail, a good understanding of schematics, and the ability to work with both hand and power tools. The Tile Setter will be responsible for ensuring that all tile installations are completed to the highest standards.

Duties

Measure and cut tiles to fit specific areas using hand tools and power tools. Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, smoothing, and applying adhesives as necessary. Lay out tiles according to design specifications and ensure proper alignment and spacing. Grout tiles after installation and clean excess grout from surfaces. Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and painters, to ensure cohesive project completion. Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements and layout plans. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Skills

Proven experience in construction, particularly in tile setting or related fields. Proficiency with hand tools such as tile cutters, trowels, and levels. Familiarity with power tools used in tile installation. Basic carpentry skills are advantageous for preparing surfaces. Ability to read schematics and blueprints effectively. Strong attention to detail with an eye for aesthetics in tile layout and design. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
