Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tile Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and be proficient in working with various types of tiles. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing tiles in residential and commercial settings, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to design specifications.

Responsibilities

Measure and cut tiles to fit specific areas using hand tools and power tools. Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, smoothing, and applying adhesives as necessary. Lay out tile patterns according to schematics or design plans, ensuring proper alignment and spacing. Install tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces, ensuring a secure fit and finish. Grout and seal tiles after installation, maintaining quality standards for durability and aesthetics. Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of tile work with other construction elements. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Tile Setter or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to tile installation. Strong understanding of building materials and techniques, including painting skills as an added advantage. Ability to read and interpret schematics or design plans accurately. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical stamina to perform manual tasks for extended periods while adhering to safety guidelines.
