We are seeking a skilled Tiler to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing tiles mainly in new build properties, ensuring high standards of quality and precision. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in construction to utilise their expertise in a dynamic environment. The Tiler will work closely with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently and to client specifications.

Responsibilities

Measure, cut, and lay tiles according to project specifications and schematics Prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling, and applying suitable adhesives or mortar Install tiles walls using hand tools and power tools Ensure precise alignment and spacing of tiles for a professional finish Mix grout and applying evenly to finished surfaces Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations Collaborate with carpenters, painters, and other tradespeople to coordinate tasks effectively Inspect completed work for quality control and rectify any defects or irregularities

Requirements

Proven experience as a Tiler in a construction role specialising in tiling Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, chisels, levels, and measuring tapes Familiarity with power tools including drills, saws, and tile cutters Basic knowledge of schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Ability to read basic technical drawings accurately and follow detailed instructions Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials Relevant construction qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential
