Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Wall and Floor Tiler to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tile laying, flooring installation, and related construction activities. This role involves transforming interior and exterior spaces by installing tiles on walls and floors, ensuring quality craftsmanship and adherence to project specifications. The position offers opportunities to work on diverse projects including remodeling, restoration, and new construction sites, utilizing a variety of hand tools and power tools. Must have own tools, PPE and transport

Responsibilities

Measure, cut, and install tiles on walls, floors, and other surfaces in accordance with project plans and schematics Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary adhesives or waterproofing materials Read blueprints and schematics to determine layout and design specifications Use hand tools such as caulking guns, tile cutters, trowels, and power tools for precise installation Perform surface repairs including water damage restoration and floor care as needed Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining safety standards Maintain a clean work environment and properly store tools and materials

Requirements

Proven experience in tile laying, flooring installation, and general construction site work Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and restoration industry practices Skilled in using hand tools, power tools Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately Strong attention to detail with excellent craftsmanship skills Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods during work shifts
