PROVISIONALLY FOR 3 MONTHS

What you'll be responsible for:

To welcome patients to the ward in a pleasant, tactful manner and deal with enquiries including at times where there may be barriers to understanding.

Monitor and update Trust's electronic patient tracking and information systems, ensuring data entry is accurate/correct.

Accept telephone referrals from Admissions and accurately maintain a waiting list, keeping the nursing team informed of expected admissions at all times.

Input accurate information onto the patient administration system ensuring timely recording of admissions, discharges and transfers on the system and in any locally maintained records, ensuring patients are allocated to the appropriate specialty and Consultant. Initiate changes as required.

To check and update Lorenzo and e-White Board in real time following patient admission, discharge and transfer.

Ensure case notes are collected from Admissions/Medical Records/other departments and requested from other hospitals as required ensuring notes are prepared and available for all new admissions. Use of Pinpoint for tracing of notes

You'll have the following skills/experience:

Previous experience of working with customers in a face-to-face environment.

Previous experience of speaking with customers over the phone.

Previous use of IT systems.

Good teamwork
