We are seeking a proactive and organized Warehouse and Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic team. This hybrid role combines responsibilities in warehouse management and basic accounting functions, ensuring smooth operations in both areas. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring inventory accuracy, order processing, and providing administrative support to the financial controller
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Management:
Assist with the receiving, checking, and storing of goods.
Maintain accurate stock records and inventory control, ensuring stock levels are monitored and updated in real-time.
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Conduct regular stock counts and assist with stock audits as required.
Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Manage the movement of goods, ensuring products are stored in the correct locations for easy access.
Assist in the loading and unloading of deliveries.
Prepare and process shipping documentation.
Accounts Support:
Process and maintain purchase orders, invoices, and payment records.
Assist with data entry for accounts payable and receivable.
Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies related to invoicing or stock discrepancies.
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and assist with the preparation of financial reports.
Provide administrative support to the Finance Manager, including filing and organizing documents.
General Administration:
Assist with general office duties, including answering calls, emails, and maintaining communication with vendors, suppliers, and customers.
Manage correspondence, ensuring timely responses to inquiries.
Help maintain filing systems for both warehouse and financial documents.
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous experience in a warehouse or inventory management role is desirable.
Basic accounting experience or knowledge of accounting software is preferred.
Experience in shipping dangerous goods and importing and exporting packages internationallya
Skills:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Sage ) is a plus.
Personal Attributes:
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
Problem-solving mindset with a proactive attitude.
Strong time-management skills.
Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Education:
Basic GCSE's or equivalent are preferred but experience is also very important
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move items as needed.
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while working in the warehouse or office environment.
