Tea People
is an award-winning family run social enterprise that sells a wide variety of speciality tea and herbal infusions. It was started by a husband-wife team from their kitchen table 9 years ago with the vision of eliminating poverty in tea growing regions of the world. It hence sends back 50% of its profit for educational and social development in those regions. Having grown to a team of 10, it now operates from a commercial site in Reading which is used for all of its business activities including blending, packaging and processing of orders from all over the country and abroad.
We are now looking for a
Warehouse Administrator/ Customer Support
personnel to join our amazing team. Experience of working in a warehouse environment would be preferred but not essential.
Job responsibilities
Provide administrative support to the Warehouse team
Print orders and labels, book deliveries and prepare documentation for processing orders.
File and maintain all warehouse paperwork
Update inventory on various online selling platforms including the company's e-commerce website, Amazon, ebay, etc.
Receive and screen all phone calls
Take orders from customers over phone or email, create invoices and take payments over the phone.
Ensure the warehouse is clean and tidy along with colleagues in accordance with legal requirements and best practices in the food manufacturing business.
Provide hands-on support to the warehouse team and assist in picking and packing of orders as and when required
Take up additional admin tasks as required by the business and the management
What are we looking for?
While we will provide you with training on the specifics of the job, you will need the following skills and abilities:
Excellent
attention to detail
with strong organisational skills.
Must have very
high level of communication skills
- in written and spoken English.
Be confident in working with a computer, with a good
knowledge of
the
MS Office
Suite, intermediate to advanced
Excel
and
Word
in particular.
Numerate, with a minimum A level or equivalent qualification and a GCSE in Maths and English
Willing to
take responsibility
for allocated tasks and actions and be able to work on own initiative as well as being a valuable member of our small, busy team.
Be
flexible
and willing to take on a variety of tasks related to production, administration and overall warehouse operations.
Experience of working within a warehouse or a manufacturing environment would be beneficial. Any stock control experience would also be desirable but not essential.

Contract length: 12 months
Pay: 25,800.00-26,400.00 per year
