We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse/Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our warehouse operations, handling materials, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in warehouse management, logistics, or construction-related fields to utilise their mechanical knowledge and driving skills in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to move materials and stock
Manage stock levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ensure accurate inventory records
Handle materials including loading, unloading, picking, packing, and organising stock within the warehouse
Assist with shipping and receiving activities, ensuring all goods are correctly documented and stored
Conduct mechanical inspections of equipment and perform basic maintenance when necessary
Support construction or renovation projects by providing materials handling expertise
Ensure health and safety standards are maintained at all times during warehouse operations and driving tasks
Requirements
Proven experience in warehouse management or related roles, with familiarity in stock control and materials handling
Valid forklift licence and experience operating forklift machinery
Mechanical knowledge or background in construction is advantageous
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock management and documentation
Valid driving licence with clean driving record; experience in driving lorries or large vehicles is desirable
Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, including load & unload operations
Physical fitness to handle demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment
